Mind's Eye can be ordered now and is an ideal gift for anyone who likes Kate's work. All books ordered through this website will be signed.
Mind's Eye is a coffee table book bringing together paintings and inspirational text by the artist Kate Philp. This book is a fabulous collection of images from the last 20 years of her work. It features the Highlands and Islands, the Scottish Borders, and North Northumberland where she now lives. A section on the St Cuthbert's way gives a lovely account of Cuthbert's pilgrimage from Melrose to Holy Island and the history surrounding the saints of Lindisfarne with views of the surrounding countryside and coast.
Mind's Eye will take you on a journey sharing many of these images with an inside look at what has guided and inspired her.
Kind endorsements have been given by Alexander McCall Smith and Fran Cotton.
"Words and pictures come together beautifully in this fascinating book. Anyone interested in how an artist is inspired will delight in Kate Philp's account of her painting and its background."

"I fell in love with Kate Philp's painting whilst dining at the Mizen Head restaurant in Bamburgh. All available wall space was filled with paintings of local scenes which I recognised from my many walks along the north Northumberland cost. I was lucky enough to buy 3 of Kate's paintings. Like all things of beauty, they fill me with enormous pleasure whenever my eye catches sight of them. Having met Kate she is a woman of rare talent and beliefs. Her book is a selection of some of her favourite scenes that she particularly enjoyed painting."
